Best enjoyed April through October when weather is warm and daylight hours are longer. The trail remains open year-round, but winter cycling can be cold and some facilities close. Summer weekends (June to August) can get crowded, especially near Vienna. Spring and early fall offer ideal temperatures and fewer crowds.
