Australian summer (December to February) offers the warmest water temperatures, but shoulder seasons (October-November and March-April) provide pleasant weather with less intense sun and smaller crowds.

This is a free public beach with limited facilities, so bring your own shade, snacks, and water. Street parking is available along The Esplanade but can fill quickly during peak times. The beach has unusual operating hours and is closed Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so always check before visiting.

Best visited during Australian spring, summer, and early autumn (October through April) for warm swimming conditions. Water temperatures are coolest June through August. Note the unusual closure days (Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday) which may be related to local tidal or safety management.
