Arrive by 9:00 AM for cooler temperatures and parking availability.

Entry to the park is completely free with no booking required. Parking is available at multiple entry points, and while the main trails are pram-friendly, some bushwalking tracks are uneven and better suited for walking children.

Open year-round with extended hours in summer. The park can experience occasional closures during extreme fire danger days (typically December to February), so check NSW National Parks website before visiting. Spring offers the best wildflower displays, while summer can be very hot and humid.

Pymble village (5 minutes drive) has family-friendly options including cafes and bakeries. Alternatively, North Turramurra shops offer fish and chips, pizza, and Asian cuisine that you can take into the park for your picnic.
