Completely free to visit with street parking available on Carron Street. There are no cafes or facilities within the reserve, so bring water and snacks, and use restrooms before arriving.

Open year-round, but summer (December-February) can be very hot for visitors from cooler climates. Spring brings wildflowers and active birdlife, while autumn offers pleasant walking temperatures. Trails may be muddy after heavy rain in winter.

Box Hill Central shopping center (5 minutes drive) offers diverse family dining including Asian restaurants and food courts. Alternatively, Doncaster Westfield (10 minutes away) has extensive kid-friendly chain restaurants and cafes.
