1. 1.Bring a wagon or carrier for younger children, as some trails can be lengthy and there are no paved paths throughout the entire arboretum.

Admission is free, making this an excellent budget-friendly family outing. There are no food facilities on-site, so pack snacks and water. Trails are natural surfaces, so strollers work best on main paths only.

Open year-round, but winter visits require proper snow gear as trails are not cleared. Spring (March to April) features maple syrup demonstrations at the sugar shack. Fall foliage peaks in late September through October. Some educational programs may only run during specific seasons, so check ahead.
