Entry is free, making it a budget-friendly activity. The hill involves significant stair climbing and is not stroller or wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are available but basic, and there are no food vendors on-site, so pack snacks and plenty of water.

Open year-round, but summer (December-February) can be very hot with intense sun exposure. Spring (September-November) offers the best weather with blooming flowers. Winter (June-August) is cooler but still pleasant for climbing. The hill may close temporarily during rare heavy rain.

Mercado Central (5-minute taxi ride) offers family-friendly Chilean seafood and traditional dishes in a bustling market atmosphere. For something closer, head to Barrio Lastarria (2 blocks away) which has numerous cafes with outdoor seating, ice cream shops, and casual eateries perfect for refueling after your climb.
