The park is free to enter, and the visitor center has restrooms, a café, and gift shop. Reach the park via MTR to Tin Shui Wai station, then take Light Rail 705 or 706 to Wetland Park stop (about 45 minutes from central Hong Kong).

The park is open year-round but closes on Tuesdays. October through March offers the best bird watching as migratory species arrive. Summer months (June to August) are hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms possible, so plan morning visits.

The onsite Wetland Café serves simple kid-friendly meals including noodles, sandwiches, and snacks. For more options, Tin Shui Wai town center (near the MTR station) has various Chinese restaurants and fast food chains suitable for families.
