Hollerner See is a stunning natural lake offering families a perfect summer escape with its sandy beaches, designated swimming areas, and excellent playground facilities. 1. 1.Arrive before 10am on weekends and holidays to secure good parking and prime beach spots, as this popular lake gets crowded during peak summer days.

This is a free public lake with 24-hour access, though facilities like restrooms are only available during daylight hours. Parking fees typically apply during summer months. There are basic toilet facilities but limited food vendors, so bring your own supplies.

This is primarily a summer destination, best enjoyed from May through September when the weather is warm enough for swimming. The lake is accessible year-round, but swimming and most family activities are only practical during warmer months. Facilities and lifeguard services are typically only available during the main summer season (June to August).

Head to Unterhaching town center (about 3km away) where you'll find family-friendly restaurants including pizzerias and traditional Bavarian beer gardens with children's menus. The Hachinger Hof beer garden offers typical German fare with a playground on-site, perfect for families.
