1. 1.Pack proper waterproof jackets and wellies (rain boots) as Scottish weather can change quickly, even in summer. The trails can get muddy, which kids actually love!

Visit on weekday mornings for the quietest experience, or spring and early summer (April to June) when wildflowers bloom and baby deer may be spotted. Arrive by 10am to catch wildlife at their most active and secure good parking spots on busy weekends.

The park is free to enter with free parking available at multiple car parks throughout. There are no food facilities on site, so bring your own supplies, and accessible paths are available but some trails can be challenging for strollers.

Open year-round with each season offering different experiences. Autumn brings stunning foliage and easier deer spotting, while summer offers the longest days for exploring. Winter can be magical with possible snow but dress warmly and check trail conditions. Some paths may be muddy or challenging after heavy rain.
