The beach is free to access with no entrance fee. Parking can be challenging and expensive during summer, so consider taking the metro to Haeundae Station (15-minute walk to beach) or a taxi. Numerous restaurants and convenience stores line the beachfront, including kid-friendly Korean and international options.

Swimming season runs from late June through August when lifeguards are on duty and water temperatures are warmest (20-25°C). The beach is accessible year-round, but off-season (September-May) offers limited facilities and cooler water unsuitable for swimming. Winter months feature fewer crowds but windy conditions. The Haeundae Sand Festival in late May/early June features impressive sand sculptures.

For quick bites, head to the Haeundae Traditional Market (10-minute walk) where kids can try Korean street food favorites like tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes) and hotteok (sweet pancakes) in a less spicy version.
