1. 1.Arrive right at opening (8:30 AM) to enjoy the clearest water for snorkeling before afternoon crowds and to secure the best locker locations near popular areas.
2. 2.The all-inclusive package covers meals, drinks, snorkel gear, life jackets, towels, and lockers, but bring reef-safe biodegradable sunscreen as regular sunscreen is prohibited to protect the ecosystem.
3. 3.Rent an underwater camera early in the day as they run out quickly. The photos of kids swimming with tropical fish make incredible souvenirs.
4. 4.Water shoes are highly recommended for navigating rocky areas around cenotes and make the day much more comfortable for children.

Visit on weekdays (Tuesday through Thursday) during non-holiday periods for smaller crowds. Arrive at opening for the calmest water and best wildlife viewing, as fish are most active in morning hours and the park gets busier after 11 AM when tour groups arrive.

This is an all-inclusive park, so entry fee covers unlimited food, beverages, snorkel equipment, and facilities. Transportation from Cancun or Playa del Carmen takes 90-120 minutes, and many visitors book packages including round-trip shuttle service, which is easier than driving with kids.

Open year-round. Best weather is December through April (dry season) with calmer waters and excellent visibility. Summer months (June to August) can be hot and humid but less crowded. Hurricane season (August to October) may bring occasional closures, so check weather forecasts when booking.

The all-inclusive nature of Xel-Há means you will not need outside restaurants, but if staying in Tulum town (20 minutes away), try Antojitos La Chiapaneca for authentic tacos that kids love, or Burrito Amor for familiar comfort food with a Mexican twist.
