Best visited May through September when weather is mild and cafes have full hours. Winter months (November to March) can be very cold and windy with limited cafe hours, though the harbor remains picturesque. Swedish Midsummer (late June) brings special festive atmosphere. Note that daylight hours are extremely long in summer (until 10pm) but very short in winter.
