Best Time to Visit

What to Know

Admission is completely free, though donations are welcome. Parking is available in a small lot near the entrance. There are no food facilities on-site, so bring snacks and water. Restrooms are available near the main shrine building.

Open year-round, but summer (May-September) offers the best weather and longest daylight hours. Winter visits are possible but trails may be icy and daylight is limited. The gardens are most beautiful in late spring and summer. The shrine celebrates special events during Christmas and Easter.
