Entry is completely free with street parking available along Pakuranga Road. Facilities are basic with no cafes or shops on site, so bring all supplies including water, snacks, and sunscreen.

Open year-round, though trails can be muddy during winter months (June to August). Summer (December to February) can be warm, so bring sun protection and extra water. Spring brings beautiful native flowers and more active birdlife.

Howick Village (5 minutes drive) offers family-friendly options including Columbus Coffee for casual meals and The Good Home cafe for kid-friendly brunch. Botany Town Centre (10 minutes drive) has extensive food court options and chain restaurants.
