There's a small entrance fee per vehicle (typically $5 for adults, children under 6 free). Parking is plentiful near pavilions and the pier. No food concessions on-site, so pack snacks and drinks, though vending machines are available.

Open year-round with consistent 6 AM-6 PM hours. Spring brings beautiful wildflowers along trails and migrating birds. Summer can be hot and humid, so plan morning visits. Fall offers the most pleasant weather. Winter is mild but can be windy on the water,bring jackets.
