Early morning (7-9 AM) or late afternoon (4-6 PM) on weekdays to avoid midday heat and weekend crowds. Spring and fall offer the most comfortable temperatures for the exposed bridge walk, and the morning light makes for better river wildlife viewing.

The bridge is free to access and open daily until 10 PM. Parking is available on both the Little Rock and North Little Rock sides. There are no food vendors or restrooms directly on the bridge, so plan accordingly before your visit.

Open year-round, but best enjoyed during spring (March-May) and fall (September-November) when temperatures are mild. Summer visits are possible but plan for early morning or evening to avoid heat exposure on the open bridge. The bridge is beautifully lit at night and occasionally features special lighting for holidays.

Flyway Brewing in North Little Rock's Argenta District (5-minute walk) offers a family-friendly atmosphere with outdoor seating and kids' menu options. In downtown Little Rock, The Root Cafe serves farm-to-table meals with plenty of kid-approved choices in a casual setting.
