Spring through fall mornings (7-10 AM) offer the most comfortable temperatures and best wildlife viewing. Weekday visits are less crowded than weekends. Summer afternoons can bring monsoon storms, so plan morning adventures. Fall offers stunning golden meadows and cooler hiking weather.

Free admission and ample parking available at the main trailhead. No restrooms or water fountains on-site, so come prepared. The paved Urban Trail is stroller and wheelchair accessible, while other trails are unpaved but well-maintained dirt paths.

Open year-round, but winter (December-March) can bring snow and ice, making trails slippery,bring appropriate footwear or snowshoes for older kids. Summer monsoon season (July-August) means afternoon thunderstorms, so plan morning visits. Wildflowers bloom beautifully in late spring and summer. Fall offers spectacular golden aspens and cooler hiking conditions.
