Visit October through April for the most comfortable weather and peak bird migration season. Early mornings (right at opening) or late afternoons on weekdays offer the quietest experience with the most wildlife activity and fewer crowds.

Admission and parking are completely free. Restrooms and water fountains are available at the main parking area, but there's no food service, so pack snacks and water. The main paths are fully accessible for strollers and wheelchairs.

Year-round destination, though summer visits (June-August) are best early morning or evening due to extreme heat. Spring (March-April) offers beautiful wildflowers and active bird nesting. Winter months attract migratory birds, making it the prime season for bird watching enthusiasts.

Joe's Farm Grill (about 2 miles away) offers farm-fresh burgers and outdoor seating with a kid-friendly atmosphere. Liberty Market in downtown Gilbert serves excellent sandwiches, pizza, and fresh pastries with plenty of options for picky eaters.
