October through April offers the most comfortable hiking conditions, with early morning (sunrise to 9 AM) being ideal to avoid heat and afternoon crowds. Weekday mornings are typically less busy than weekends.

This is a natural trail with no facilities, so plan accordingly by bringing all necessary supplies including water, snacks, and sun protection. Parking is limited in the residential area surrounding the trailhead, so arrive early.

Best hiking season is October through April when temperatures are moderate. Summer months (June-September) are extremely hot and not recommended for family hikes. Spring offers bonus wildflower blooms after wet winters. Trails may be slippery after rare rain events.
