The splash pad typically operates from March through October, weather permitting. Summer (June-August) can be extremely hot with temperatures exceeding 110°F, so early morning or evening visits are essential. The park hosts various festivals and events throughout the year that may limit regular access to certain areas.

Four Peaks Brewing Company (less than a mile away) offers a kid-friendly menu with burgers and pizza in a casual atmosphere. Casey Moore's Oyster House provides outdoor patio seating and a children's menu, located about 1.5 miles from the park in downtown Tempe.
