Admission is completely free and the reserve is accessible 24 hours daily. There are no visitor facilities, restrooms, or food vendors on site, so plan accordingly and bring everything you need for your visit.

Spring and early summer offer the most diverse wildlife viewing with migrating birds and blooming plants. Autumn provides beautiful foliage colors. Winter visits are possible but expect fewer wildlife sightings and muddy trails. Trails may be wet or icy in winter months, so check conditions before visiting.

Head to nearby Bad Saarow (about 15 minutes away) for family-friendly restaurants including traditional German cafes and pizzerias. The town of Storkow also offers several casual dining options including ice cream shops that kids will enjoy after a nature walk.
