Parking is free but very limited at the trailhead with only about 15-20 spaces available. There are no facilities at the trailhead, so use restrooms at nearby Bayview Campground before starting, and pack out all trash.
Best visited May through October when the trail is snow-free. The waterfall is most impressive during spring runoff (May-July) but can reduce to a trickle by late summer. Winter access requires snowshoes or cross-country skis and is not recommended for families with young children. Trail can be muddy in early season.
