Reach the island by taking a 20-minute boat ride (bangka) from Mactan Island, which costs around 25-30 Philippine pesos per person. There are basic restrooms at the visitor center but limited dining options on the island.

Peak bird watching season runs November through February when migratory birds arrive. The sanctuary is accessible year-round, but fewer bird species are present March through October. Avoid visiting during typhoon season (July-October) when weather may disrupt boat access.
