1. 1.Park at the Cape Henlopen State Park entrance for easiest access with restrooms and facilities nearby (park entrance fee applies)

Early morning on weekdays offers the quietest experience with the best wildlife viewing, while spring and fall provide ideal temperatures for longer family rides. Summer weekends are busiest but offer beach access afterward as a reward.

The trail is free to access, though parking at Cape Henlopen State Park requires a daily or annual park pass. The completely paved, flat surface accommodates strollers, wheelchairs, training wheels, and all ability levels with no elevation challenges.
