1. 1.Arrive early (by 8am) to secure a good spot and avoid the intense afternoon heat. The beach can get very crowded on weekends, especially Friday afternoons and evenings.

Visit between October and April when temperatures are cooler (25-30°C). Early mornings (7-10am) or late afternoons (4-7pm) are ideal to avoid the harsh midday sun. Weekdays are significantly less crowded than weekends, especially avoiding Fridays when locals have their weekend.

The beach is completely free to access and open 24 hours, though most facilities and restaurants operate during standard daytime and evening hours. Parking is available in nearby paid parking garages (AED 20-30 per visit). Public restrooms, changing facilities, and shower stations are available. Modest swimwear is required (no bikinis that are too revealing, and children should wear appropriate swim attire).

Open year-round, but summer months (June to September) are extremely hot with temperatures exceeding 40°C, making beach visits challenging with young children. The winter season (November to March) offers pleasant weather and hosts various beach festivals and events. During Ramadan, eating and drinking in public during daylight hours is restricted, so plan accordingly.

The Walk at JBR offers dozens of family-friendly options including The Cheesecake Factory (with a kids menu and generous portions), Shake Shack for burgers and shakes, and PappaRoti for sweet treats. For something more local, try Bu Qtair Fish Restaurant about 10 minutes away for fresh, affordable seafood that kids enjoy.
