Visit during winter months (November-March) for the most comfortable weather and peak bird migration season. Weekday mornings offer the quietest experience with the best wildlife activity, while weekends can get busier but still maintain a peaceful atmosphere.

Admission is $5 per vehicle (up to 8 people). Restrooms and picnic pavilions are available, but there's no food sold on-site, so pack snacks and lunch. Most trails are relatively flat and stroller-accessible, though some paths can be sandy.

Open year-round, but winter (November-March) offers the most comfortable temperatures and best wildlife viewing. Summer can be very hot and humid with afternoon thunderstorms common. Spring and fall provide pleasant weather with fewer crowds.
