Entrance fee is $6 per vehicle (up to 8 people). Limited food options on-site, so pack snacks and lunch. The tram to the beach is included with admission, and bike rentals are available for an additional fee.

Summer (June-August) brings hot temperatures but calm Gulf waters perfect for kids. Spring and fall offer ideal weather for hiking and biking. Occasional trail closures during nesting season (spring) protect wildlife. Winter months are less crowded and great for nature walks, though water may be too cool for swimming.

The Meltdown on 30A (about 3 miles east) serves kid-friendly grilled cheese sandwiches and comfort food in a casual atmosphere. For fresh seafood and a family-friendly vibe, try Stinky's Fish Camp (6 miles west) with outdoor seating and a kids menu.
