Knaus Berry Farm is a beloved South Florida institution where families can pick their own strawberries during winter harvest season and indulge in legendary cinnamon rolls that are worth the wait. 1. 1.Arrive early (right at 8:00 AM opening) to avoid long lines for cinnamon rolls, which often sell out by mid-morning on weekends
2. 2.Bring cash as it's preferred, wear closed-toe shoes for the strawberry fields, and dress kids in clothes that can get dirty
3. 3.The strawberry milkshakes are enormous,one shake can easily be shared between two young kids
4. 4.Park in the overflow lot if the main lot is full; it's just a short walk and you'll skip the parking chaos
5. 5.Buy a cinnamon roll first, then take kids to pick strawberries while you wait in the shorter line for other items

Visit on weekday mornings (Tuesday-Thursday, 8:00-10:00 AM) during January through early April for the best strawberry picking and shortest lines. Weekends get extremely crowded with waits exceeding an hour for cinnamon rolls.

This is a cash-friendly operation with very budget-friendly prices (strawberries are sold by the pound, cinnamon rolls under $10). There's minimal seating, so plan for a take-and-go experience or bring a blanket for an impromptu picnic.

Only open seasonally from approximately November through mid-April (closed Mondays). Call ahead or check their status as they close for the summer months. Strawberry picking is best from January through March when berries are at peak ripeness.

Head to Robert Is Here (fruit stand with milkshakes and animals, 10 minutes south) or Gator Grill (casual American fare, 8 minutes away) if you want a full meal after your farm visit.
