Parking is free in the adjacent lot but fills quickly. There are clean restrooms with changing facilities, outdoor showers for rinsing off sand, and several shaded picnic pavilions available first-come, first-served (or by reservation for large groups).

Open year-round with consistent hours. November through April is peak season with larger crowds and harder-to-find parking. Summer months bring afternoon thunderstorms, so plan morning visits. Sea turtle nesting season (May-October) means parts of the beach may have marked-off areas,a great educational opportunity for kids.

Skillets at 3375 Gulf Shore Blvd N (about 2 miles north) offers family-friendly breakfast and lunch with kids' menus. For a quick bite, Naples Flatbread on 3rd Street South serves pizza and sandwiches that please picky eaters, just a short drive away.
