The Florida Aquarium

Visit on weekday mornings (Tuesday-Thursday) between 10 AM-12 PM for the smallest crowds and most active animals. Weekends and school holidays get very busy, especially afternoons. Summer can be crowded but also features extended hours and special programming.

General admission tickets are around $30-35 for adults and $25-30 for children (3-11), with children under 2 free. The onsite Coral Reef Café offers kid-friendly meals, or you can exit and return after grabbing lunch in the Channelside District. Strollers are welcome and the facility is fully accessible.

Open year-round with indoor climate-controlled exhibits making it perfect for hot Florida summers. The outdoor Splash Pad operates seasonally (typically March-October). Special holiday events include Dive-In Movie Nights in summer and festive programming during winter holidays.

Sparkman Wharf (5-minute walk) offers multiple family-friendly food vendors with outdoor seating and water views. Ulele Restaurant (10-minute drive) provides a unique Florida-focused menu in a casual atmosphere with a kids' menu and beautiful riverside setting.
