Johannesburg's summer (November to February) brings afternoon thunderstorms, so plan morning visits during these months. Winter (June to August) has perfect sunny days but mornings can be cold (near freezing), so dress in layers. Spring (September to October) features lovely jacaranda blooms in surrounding areas.
