The park is free to enter and open 24 hours, though most families visit during daylight. Limited facilities mean bringing your own food, water, and supplies is essential. No stroller-accessible trails, so baby carriers are necessary for little ones.

Summer (June-August) brings intense heat, humidity, and occasional typhoons, so check weather forecasts carefully. Swimming is best May through October when water is warmest. Winter months are cooler and drier, ideal for hiking but less appealing for beach activities. The park remains open year-round.

Head back to Sai Kung town (15-20 minutes by taxi) where the waterfront promenade offers dozens of family-friendly seafood restaurants. Try Chuen Kee Seafood Restaurant for fresh catches in a casual setting, or grab fish balls and dim sum from street vendors at the pier.
