3. 3.Pack plenty of water, snacks, insect repellent, and rain gear. There are limited facilities once you're on the trails, and weather can change quickly in the mountains.
4. 4.Bring Vietnamese dong in small bills for entrance to specific temple areas and refreshments at small stalls. Credit cards are not accepted.

Visit October through April during the dry season for the best weather and clearest views. Arrive early morning (by 6-7am) on weekdays to beat crowds and heat, and enjoy cooler temperatures for hiking. Avoid Vietnamese holidays when the park gets very crowded.

While park entry is free, expect to pay separately for cable car rides (if desired), temple entrances, and parking (around 20,000-30,000 VND). Bring your own food and plenty of water as dining options inside are very limited to small snack stalls with basic items.

Best visited during the dry season (October to April) when trails are less muddy and views are clearest. The rainy season (May to September) brings slippery trails, leeches, and often clouded summit views, though waterfalls are more impressive. Spring (February to March) offers beautiful blooming flowers throughout the park.

Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy at scenic viewpoints, as restaurant options within the park are extremely limited. In Son Tay town (15 minutes away), you'll find local Vietnamese restaurants serving pho and com (rice dishes) that are affordable and kid-friendly.
