Centennial Park

Centennial Park in Grimes is a spacious community hub that checks all the boxes for active families. The park is free to use with ample parking available. There are no on-site food vendors, so pack snacks and drinks. Restroom facilities are available seasonally.

Best visited April through October. Restrooms may be closed during winter months. The park is popular for spring and fall youth sports leagues. Summer can get very hot with limited shade, so plan morning or evening visits during peak heat.

Head to La Estrella Mexican Restaurant (5 minutes away) for kid-friendly tacos and quesadillas, or grab pizza at Casey's General Store in Grimes for an easy picnic option to bring back to the park.
