Completely free to enter with multiple parking areas around the forest perimeter (parking may have small fees). No on-site facilities, so plan accordingly. Most trails are not stroller-accessible due to rocky terrain, though some wider paths near Barbizon work for rugged all-terrain strollers.

Open year-round, but spring brings wildflowers and baby animals, while autumn offers spectacular fall colors. Winter can be muddy and some areas may be slippery. Summer weekends attract many rock climbers. Certain areas may be closed during hunting season (typically October-February), so check locally.
