Weekday mornings from late June through August offer the warmest water temperatures and smallest crowds. Aim for 9:00-11:00 AM before the afternoon heat peaks and the beach gets busiest.

Check Lake Forest Park District website for beach pass requirements and fees (non-residents typically pay daily admission). Limited parking is available at the beach lot, so carpooling or arriving early is recommended during peak summer season.

Lifeguards typically on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The beach is technically open year-round during park hours but swimming is only practical in summer months. Water temperatures are warmest in late July and August.
