The aquarium is open year-round. Summer months (July to August) are most crowded with Japanese school holidays. The outdoor viewing areas and dolphin stadium offer the best Mount Fuji views on clear winter days. Special seasonal jellyfish exhibitions rotate throughout the year.

Enoshima Island, accessible via a short bridge walk, offers numerous family-friendly restaurants serving fresh seafood, including casual spots serving shirasu-don (whitebait rice bowls). The aquarium itself has a cafe with kid-friendly options like curry rice and udon noodles.
