Early morning or late afternoon offers the best wildlife viewing opportunities and cooler temperatures. Visit during spring (March-May) or fall (September-November) for the most comfortable weather and spectacular wildflower displays or autumn colors. Weekdays are generally less crowded than weekends.

Entry is free with no admission fees. There are minimal facilities, so come prepared with your own supplies, including water, snacks, and sunscreen. Restrooms are limited, so plan bathroom breaks accordingly before entering the grasslands.

Spring brings spectacular wildflower blooms and mild temperatures, making it the most popular season. Summer can be extremely hot with limited shade, so plan early morning visits. Fall offers comfortable weather and beautiful colors. Winter is mild but can be windy. The grasslands are open year-round, but trails may be muddy after heavy rains.
