Coram's Fields

Coram's Fields is a unique seven-acre playground in central London with an extraordinary rule: adults can only enter if accompanied by a child. This historic space offers a delightful mix of adventure play equipment, a small petting farm with animals like sheep and rabbits, a seasonal paddling pool, and challenging climbing walls, making it a fantastic free outing in the heart of the city.

1. 1.Bring a towel and change of clothes during warmer months as the paddling pool is irresistible to kids and water play can get messy.

Weekday mornings (9:00-11:00 AM) are quietest, especially during school term time. Weekend afternoons get very busy. Visit in late spring or summer to enjoy the paddling pool, but early autumn offers pleasant weather with fewer crowds.

Admission is completely free. There is no dedicated parking, so use public transport or nearby car parks. No food is sold on site, but you can bring picnics and there are picnic tables available throughout the grounds.

The paddling pool typically operates from late May through early September, weather permitting. The playground itself is open year-round except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Summer holidays can be extremely busy, while winter visits offer a quieter experience though with fewer water play options.

The Brunswick Centre (5-minute walk) has multiple family-friendly chain restaurants including Wagamama and Giraffe. Alternatively, head to Brunswick Square Gardens for a lovely picnic spot, or grab takeaway from nearby cafes on Lamb's Conduit Street.
