Admission is completely free with ample parking at the trailhead. Trails are mostly boardwalk and gravel paths that are stroller-friendly, though no food facilities are on-site so pack snacks and water.

Spring (April through May) and fall (September through October) offer the best bird watching during migration seasons. Summer provides lush greenery and active wildlife, while winter visits can be beautiful but require warm clothing and may have icy conditions on trails.
