Kensington Metropark

Kensington Metropark is a sprawling 4,500-acre regional park that offers families an incredible variety of outdoor activities without the admission fee. From swimming at the sandy beach to exploring miles of paved trails perfect for biking and strollers, this Brighton gem provides everything needed for memorable family adventures in nature.

While park entry is free, there is a vehicle entry fee ($10 daily or $40 annual pass for all Huron-Clinton Metroparks). The beach, splash pad, boat rentals, and most facilities are seasonal, while trails and picnic areas are accessible year-round.

The beach and splash pad operate Memorial Day through Labor Day with lifeguards on duty. Boat rentals are available spring through fall. Winter brings cross-country skiing and sledding opportunities. The Farm Center has reduced hours in winter months.
