Entry requires a Michigan Recreation Passport ($12 annually for residents, $34 for non-residents) or daily fee. Restrooms and picnic areas are available near the visitor center, but bring your own snacks and water as there are no food vendors on-site.

Open year-round with extended hours in summer. The park is beautiful in all seasons: spring wildflowers, summer greenery, spectacular fall colors, and peaceful winter snowshoeing. The museum and visitor center have limited winter hours (call ahead). Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are popular winter activities on designated trails.

Spike's Keg 'O' Nails in downtown Grayling (10 minutes away) offers burgers, pizzas, and a casual family atmosphere. Paddle Hard Brewing nearby has a full menu with kids' options and outdoor seating in warmer months.
