This is a free attraction with a small parking area that fills quickly during peak times. There are no restrooms or food facilities at the site, so plan accordingly and use facilities in Marquette before heading out.

While accessible year-round, the trail is most popular and easiest to navigate from May through October. Winter hiking is possible for experienced families with proper gear, but ice and snow make conditions challenging. The observation deck can be extremely windy in winter months.
