Spring and fall offer the most comfortable temperatures and beautiful scenery with blooming flowers or changing leaves. Weekday mornings (especially Tuesday-Thursday, 8-10 AM) provide the calmest experience with fewer cyclists and joggers, perfect for families with young children.

The park is free to visit with ample parking available at the St. Anthony Parkway entrance. No food vendors on-site, so bring your own snacks and water, especially for longer visits with active kids.

Best during spring (April-May) for migrating birds and wildflowers, and fall (September-October) for gorgeous foliage. Summer can be hot with limited shade on some trail sections. Winter trails remain open but can be icy,many families enjoy cross-country skiing when conditions permit.
