1. 1.Arrive in the late afternoon (around 4pm) to enjoy cooler temperatures and catch the spectacular sunset views that Oman is famous for.
2. 2.Bring plenty of sun protection including beach umbrellas or pop-up tents, as natural shade is limited. The Omani sun is intense year-round.

Visit between October and March when temperatures are mild (75-85°F), making it comfortable for all-day beach play. Weekday mornings or late afternoons are ideal to avoid the midday heat and local weekend crowds. Sunset time (typically 5:30-6:30pm depending on season) is especially magical for families.

This is a public beach with free access and basic facilities. Parking is available nearby, but amenities are limited, so bring all essentials including water, food, sunscreen, and beach toys. Women should dress modestly (covering shoulders and knees when not in the water) out of respect for local customs.

Best visited October through March when temperatures are comfortable (avoiding the intense summer heat of May-September when temps exceed 100°F). During summer months, limit visits to early morning or evening hours only. Note that Omani weekends are Friday-Saturday, so expect more local families on these days.

Al Amerat town center (about 10 minutes away) has a few local restaurants and a hypermarket where you can pick up picnic supplies. For a family meal after the beach, Turkish House Restaurant offers familiar grilled meats and child-friendly options in a casual setting.
