1. 1.Start your hike very early in the morning (around 6-7am) to avoid the intense Omani heat and enjoy the best light for spotting birds and wildlife along the coast.
2. 2.Bring a flashlight or headlamp for exploring the bat caves safely. Kids love the adventure of seeing bats roosting inside, but stay quiet and respectful of the wildlife.

Visit between October and March during Oman's cooler months when temperatures are pleasant (20-28°C/68-82°F). Aim for early morning (6-8am) on weekdays to beat both the heat and any weekend crowds, and to maximize wildlife spotting opportunities when animals are most active.

This is a free, unmarked trail with no facilities, so come completely self-sufficient with water, snacks, sun protection, and a first aid kit. Parking is informal along the roadside near the trailhead. There are no restrooms, food vendors, or visitor services available.

The trail is accessible year-round but visit October through March for comfortable temperatures. Summer months (May to September) are extremely hot (40°C+/104°F+) and not recommended for hiking with children. Occasional winter rains (December to February) can make rocks slippery but also bring out more wildlife.
