Weekday mornings (Tuesday through Thursday, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM) are ideal when the center is less crowded and staff have more time to assist international visitors. Avoid Friday afternoons when weekend preparation is underway.

Most activities are free or very low cost (typically under 200 Uruguayan pesos, approximately $5 USD). Street parking is available but can be challenging in this popular neighborhood. The center is wheelchair accessible through the main entrance.

The center hosts special holiday programming during Uruguayan school vacations (July and December-February), making these excellent times to visit for unique cultural experiences. Note that Saturday hours are limited to mornings only.

Escaramuza is a family-friendly pizzeria about 3 blocks away on José Ellauri with great options for kids. For a treat, Freddo ice cream parlor is within walking distance and serves delicious helado (ice cream) that kids will love.
