This park is completely free to visit with ample parking. There are no concessions or restrooms on-site, so plan accordingly and bring water and snacks. The boardwalks and main trails are stroller-friendly, making it accessible for families with young children.

Spring brings wildflowers and migrating birds, while fall offers gorgeous foliage reflections on the lake. Summer can be hot and buggy but offers the longest hours for evening visits. Winter provides peaceful, crowd-free visits though some wildlife is less active. The park remains open year-round with extended hours until 10 PM daily.
