The Blue Ridge Parkway is free to access with no entrance fees. Parking is limited at the trailhead, and there are no food services available, so pack everything you need. Restrooms are available at the visitor center during operating hours.

The Blue Ridge Parkway can close during winter weather (ice and snow), typically December through March, with little advance notice. The rhododendron bloom peaks mid-to-late June and is the most popular time to visit. The visitor center operates seasonally and may have reduced hours or closures outside peak season,call ahead in spring and fall.
