The park is free to visit with ample parking available at multiple lots throughout the property. Restroom facilities are available, and while there's no food concession stand, the numerous picnic shelters make it ideal for bringing your own meals.

The park shines in spring (March-May) with blooming flowers and mild temperatures, and fall (September-November) with gorgeous foliage. Summer can be hot, so plan morning visits and bring plenty of water. Winter visits are possible but playgrounds may be less appealing in cold weather,the trails remain great for family walks year-round.
